On Saturday, MrRob and I had the pleasure of being photographers for Doncaster Pride.
This is the 3rd year we’ve attended and have to say, it’s a real pleasure. Loads of fun.
Well done to all the team for another successful Pride. Can’t wait until the next one

Donna’s Blog of this day is here but I thought I’d add the few of my pictures … despite promising to delete them all to Mickey … who did not enjoy this gig at all …

Donna’s Blog of this day is here. It’s the first time I’ve been to a rock gig in what is an art/photo gallery by day. But hell this is for all for Help For Heroes tonight … fingers crossed the rock ‘n’ rollers dont break any of the exhibits …

Dear Superstar,
MrRob,
New Device by MrRob
There is nothing quite like a home town gig on a tour … and tonight was no exception … the overpowering memory of the night for me wasn’t the fantastic audience or the great bands but the BASS … so loud that I thought I was going to poop myself if I stood still …

Fear not BItchinRockPhotos is not going anywhere! but the hosting of the old blog and gallery is coming to an end on the 13th May, 2010. So while all photos that have been added since January 2009 are safe and hosted with the blog … the older ones will disappear from the internet forever!

As Donna mentioned in her blog of the GU Medicine tour we stayed over in London and found ourselves in Windsor … what a great place to try out my new little Panasonic TZ8 camera despite all the tourists getting in the way … it was a nice change to not be too bothered with camera setting and just concentrate on composition made easy by the wonderful sights around every corner. I normally put such photos in my Mobile Me Gallery but I thought they were so “Bitchin” I’d follow Donna’s lead and post them on here.

What a fantastic way to end the short but fun tour … I truly hope that my Photos capture just a little for the atmosphere of this night with great performances by both bands.

GU Medicine,

After a day off and a gentle drive down to Academy Birmingham as the van can now find its own way there! We got there in time to catch the last few minutes of Panic Cell’s soundcheck. They have a great sense of humour. It was good to see that GU were back to normal and running late.

It was so good to see GU Medicine play after a 2 year gap … shame hardly any Nottingham-sters bothered to come see them … or Panic Cell the tour’s headliners. It gets me when I see and hear people complain about festival & gig ticket prices … here’s a great value show with two fantastic bands (plus local supports) … yet the room is empty. No wonder few bands bother to tour the pubs and clubs these days.

Flyleaf,

The Crave by MrRob
It was quite hard work to get good photos on this tour. With little room for photographers to move with all the venues either sold out or very nearly full to capacity, low stages, no “photo pits” or stage lighting that was almost impossible to work with. I thought Id just pick one venue … Leeds Cockpit … to really concentrate on getting some good shots over the crowd as I have always got at least some good shots here in the past.

Just a quickie to say a huge thank you to Flyleaf and their crew for being so professional and kind to us on their tour. You made us and The Crave guys feel like long lost friends right from the start. I have never had such a chilled and relaxed time on any tour!

Heaven’s Basement at The Engine Room in Brighton … I just had to take some photos of a fantastic gig in this DARK sweat-pit of a venue … if only we lived a little close I’d be in here every night …

First impressions were that The Hop is a small venue above a pub. It seemed overcrowded during soundcheck … well, 5 bands in one night would probably do that in any venue.
