As MrRob says, recieving a request for pics for a magazine is tricky…….neither of us used any form of flash during the tour, not even to fill in a little so picking your favourite shots and picking shots suitable for print can be two very different tasks.
Chris from HB asked Pedro and I to pick out some of our own piccies for them to send out to a magazine … now its never easy choosing your own pictures especially for print in a magazine as their requirements (like it being in focus etc) are so different to what I set out to capture …
Now I’m home from the HB tour I’ve had the chance to look back at all the posts made by both Rob and I and there is one common factor – very few of the people who have made kind comments about them either on here, by email, on numerous other sites would not have done so if it hadn’t been for the hard work of Donna.
Well we’re all home now and I have my customary post-tour snivels … I’m writing this post through streaming eyes … i dont think its tears !? …
This was the last gig of the tour, and the guys relished playing it on a bigger stage – it was just a shame that there weren’t more lovely swiss people in to see them.
At the end of Thunder’s set in Prattlein for their last ever European show they invited Heaven’s Basement on stage to do “Gimme all your loving” – the guys had a great time, this was testement to how much the Thunder guys think of them, Chris the Bass player sporting a Heaven’s Basement T-Shirt throughout their set.
After Sabra being ill for most of the week and missing school, we didn’t think the weekend was going to happen. …But she returned to school on Friday and her ‘normal’ appetite resumed. SO I thought, we’ll go, the guys were expecting us, Sabra and myself really wanted to go and the break would do her good.
Just a quick update as Thunder are playing and I cant think because its noisy at the back of the auditorium here at Z7 … and Im too emotionally confused … I hate the end of a tour coming around But im looking forward to going home … for a bit.

WOW!! … great venue, great audience great band and great performance = great day …
Tonight was such a great gig – I’ve run out of superlatives before even beginning the blog – this was a hard gig to photograph…….firstly because there was about 450 people in one of the smaller venues we’ve visited
so once you had a position you couldn’t really move around, secondly because the pit was full of guys taking video of the show (don’t know if HB will get any of this footage or if they were mainly setting up for Thunder) and most importantly because I spent far too much time enjoying the gig, jumping, dancing, singing along with a crowd that were clearly into the band.
Just a few long shots of Thunder taken from the merch table at the back of the hall – will try and get a little closer during their set in Switzeland tonight.
