Decadenze – Shaw “The Cricketers Arms” Saturday June 20th 2009
Posted under Decadenze, Exclude, MrRob by MrRobI cant realy add to what Mistress has said about this gig … there is something great about turning up to “a local pub for local people” miles from home to see a band win over the locals especially when the ‘locals” are as warm and inviting to both us and the band. Quite simply it was one of those “special” nights that reaffirms why we are happy to avoid paying to see a “big” act in a corporate venue with their “photo-pass/guest list” bureaucracy … grass routes gigging is SO much more of an adventure

What a fun night. Decadenze were only band on tonight and the gig didn’t start until 9.30pm, so we had time to sit and chill beforehand. Bonus for me was the pub sells Fentiman’s drinks….so lashings of Ginger Beer for me. That stuff has balls
