Heaven’s Basement, Dirty Rose, Only Guilty Man, The Amorettes – Studio 24 – Edinburgh Sat 27th Feb 2010

Tonight there was no Dear Superstar or The Crave … and to be honest they were sorely missed on many levels.
First up were The Amorettes
I enjoyed their set at the time and they played their songs very well … the only thing missing was a little … “attitude”.
Only Guilty Man were next and I enjoyed their funky heavy blues at first … but there wasn’t enough variety to the songs and the set soon began to drag.
Dirty Rose(great name) had me hoping for a Thin Lizzy/GNR style band …
Unfortunately it turned out they play third rate Metallica style shite.
So things were completely left to Heaven’s Basement to turn the night on its head … and boy did they deliver on a large stage with fantastic light show. It was a gig to remember for a long time.
