*The Crave (Breaking The Silence Tour 2011) with Special Guests Tiger Please, Feb 2011 (Part 3 of 4)

Tues 22 DAY OFF
MrRob drove us all the way home from Cambridge last night……so after a lovely lie in and shower, we headed into town. I was ‘craving’ Wagamamas tofu so we had a cheeky meal, just the 2 of us ๐Ÿ˜‰ mmmmm mmmmm
Poor Sabra stayed home, she was ill, full of the tour flu and sickness ๐Ÿ™

A night at home, chilling, catching up on True Blood, Season 3

Wed 23 King Tuts, Glasgow
On the road again, to Scotland, stopping off for Starbucks along the way of course ๐Ÿ™‚
Glasgow was a nightmare, we’d hit rush hour traffic and things were hardly moving.
Parked up and cooked a quick meal….MrRob was going to get his noodles, but it was piddling down outside, so he opted for my same as me instead.
Grabbed merch bag/kit and the famous sweety tub and headed to venue. Arrived just in time to snap a few pics of The Crave soundcheck. Had a chat with chef about Tiger Please‘s meal..they were stuck in traffic and wouldn’t arrive until 8ish ๐Ÿ™

No worries, they guys arrived, unloaded their gear and managed to grab a meal before the gig….thanks King Tuts chef xx
Soundcheck and stuff

Tonight and for the next few nights we were graced with the presence of the lovely twins Emily and Hannah. They had travelled for hours on a megabus to be here…crazy, but dedicated and so good to see thm. Their Dad was also there, so we were treated to a litte of his Dad dancing ๐Ÿ˜‰ Cooooooooool

Great crowd in tonight, the place is buzzing. We’re set up around corner, so can’t see stage but sounds great.
Opening tonight are female fronted Vokovi

I feel the tickly tour throat coming on, Fishermans friend to the rescue ๐Ÿ˜‰
MrRob and Sabra headed off to noodle bar, while I cooked a gluten free snack in van for myself. …then it’s on the road again. heading for Aberdeeeeen ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thur 24 Tunnels, Aberdeen
We spent a good while searching for somewhere near venue to park up and go find coffee……but the van was just too big ๐Ÿ™ I wasn’t feeling too good, but needs must and we had to park a fair distance away, could have done without the long walk ๐Ÿ™ Visit to local shopping center for a much needed coffee and a very quick browse and then grabbed some more food supplies
Tunnels is just how it soundsโ€ฆit a venue, built in the Tunnels under Aberdeen. Outside the venue itโ€™s eerie, itโ€™s univiting and at times it can be slightly scary. It smells, itโ€™s damp and canโ€™t say I relish being there.
Venue on inside is pretty cool, but again it smells of underground damp and itโ€™s so cold. Checked in with the guys, then we all headed off to grab a quick Starbucks ๐Ÿ˜‰
Back to Tunnelsโ€ฆThereโ€™s no phone service in there , so I spent far too long outside trying to sort out some things online and trying to get hold of the twins (was worried about them). Iโ€™d worn converse instead of big boots and I was beginning to regret that when the cold floor froze me toes ๐Ÿ˜‰
A very, very poor turn out tonight. A big Thanks to the people who did turn up ๐Ÿ™‚

The Half Mad Grooves openedโ€ฆ. to a very empty venue ๐Ÿ™

Time for Tiger Please. Still no one down front, so I grabbed my camera and โ€˜battledโ€™ my way to the front. Seems Ryan had the same idea, but that lazy bugger brought a chair with himโ€ฆ.he was followed closely by Tom and a chair. CJ and Carlos, the twins and Sabra grabbed a spot front row along with the lovely people whoโ€™d turned up for tonights gig.
A fun, unusual set for the guys, with lots of laughs and fangirly moments from The Crave ๐Ÿ˜‰ Ending their set with The Crave joining them on stage. All I could have asked for as a bit more light to take pics ๐Ÿ˜‰
Tiger Please

For The Craveโ€™s set, Tiger Please returned the favour. All down front and having a great time, especially when they decide to throw in a Limp Bizkit song. There was a mini mosh pit going down there.
I spent most of the gigs at back with MrRob and merchโ€ฆ.watching the fun from a safe distance ๐Ÿ˜‰ But screaming and singing along at the right moments ๐Ÿ˜‰

Really wish I’d opted for the big boots now…my broken toe was complaining, so I had to hobble the long back to the van ๐Ÿ™

Fri 25 Doghouse, Dundee
Great music venue, but I was feeling very, very ill with a lost voice (probably all the screaming/singing last night) + and my sinuses were infected ๐Ÿ™ I spent most of the gig with my head down ๐Ÿ™ I felt bad that I was letting people down, especially Emily twin, this was her last night ……but I just didn’t have the oomph to do anything …

Only took 1 pic of The Crave @ Soundcheck and a few of openers Silent Nothings

Sat 26 Brickyard, Carlisle
After a good nights sleep and the aid of paracetomol etc, copius amounts of coffe and a shower……..it was time to head to Carlisle. A castle?? Carlisle’s got a castle? Why didn’t I know that? We managed to park just around corner from venue and got a lovely view of said castle. Beauuuutiful

Pics along the journey, taken on phone and Canon

Good to see Raz again (promoter and great guy)
Brickyard is huge. Cracking layout and great sound. Plus they have pretty lights on the bands.
4 bands tonight

Colt 45

Tiger Please

The Crave

Thanks to the guys for playing ‘You Fake Turd”…you know how much Sabra and I love that one ๐Ÿ˜‰
Poor MrRob had a drunk guy chatting to him all night , when we asked what he was chatting about MrRob said “I don’t know, I couldn’t understand a fecking word !!” lol

Sun 27 Hyem Bar, Newcastle
A matinee gig with lots of families including small children. Pre gig the guys tucked into Sunday lunch and pre gig beers ๐Ÿ˜‰ AND great coffee for only 80p a cup YESSSS

Pics not so good, light was limited so here’s just a small selection of all the bands (same bands as Carlisle)

Home for the night wooohoooooooo my own bed, a shower, can’t wait
