Wasn’t really sure if we’d make it to tonights gig. Bitchin Rock have become very lazy with going to gigs, all deciding we’d rather be on tour, than attend individual gigs. On tour we have a routine and get into a flow of things.
Tonight MrRob was dragging his feet and really didn’t seem to want to move from his bum grooved, red chair 
But eventually we got him up and out
Onwards to see those lovely guys in Verses. We haven’t seen them since the tour with Puddle Of Mudd/Soil/Dear Supesrtar in October. Since they they have been busy touring the country time and time again.
Driving up to Newcastle along A1 I saw a load of little blobs in the sky, couldn’t work out what they wee until MrRob yelled, “They’re parachutes!!!” Don’t see that everyday do you
With Jason (Verses) texting me along the way, I’d sent him a “do you want any crisps, chocs, etc? ” Didn’t get his reply until we’d already parked up, but when the text came through it was a Yes, so we got back in car and searched for a shop. We drove through a side of Newcastle I’ve never seen and probably never want to see again 
Boarded up buildings, falling down buildings, roadside memorial flowers and the general feel of grimness all round. BUt eventually we found a corner shop and bought up most of their crisps, biscuits and chocolates A litle girl with a pound to spend watched on in awe
Back to venue and passed the goodies on to Dan (Verses)
Into venue where we had to pay to get in!!!!! First time in I don’t know how long. But all cool, it’s a college venue and the bands need paying
We have walked into the Twilight Zone…..the twilight zone of Young people. The whole audience was sat around on the step seats, comlpete with cushions, set away from stage. Poor bands playing to empty dance floor
Hugs and hellos to and from the Verses guys and we grabbed a ‘seat’ with Hannah and Becca, on the steps. Very, very weird
Lighting was a bit hit and miss for photos. Facing audience, from behind bands, were very bright, very blinding at times, LED’s. But not a lot of light on facing the band’s themselves. I took a lot of pics, in order to get anything from the nights proceedings
We were to late for first couple of bands, only managed to grab last song of one of them. Managed to grab all of Take Action‘s set

Not seen them before, didn’t know anything about them, other than they are co-headlining this tour with Verses. Really enjoyed their set, which was a nice surprise

Verses were amazing as usual.Bloody love this band, always a pleasure to watch.
How that voice comes out of the petite frame of Jason is beyond me. I swear there is really a Welshman in there bursting to get out

After a dodgy start, tonight turned out to be pretty cool. All finished by 9.30pm though, so we were home before bedtime
